How it works
Insurance Policy
Purchase AppleCare for your Apple computers as you normally would. Then, purchase accidental insurance for your Apple computers from MacAmerica. MacAmerica will provide AppleCare service and process insurance claims. Insurance is offered through our partnership with Student Insurance Partners, LLC, underwritten by Hanover Insurance.
Repairs and Claims
When your Apple computer needs repair, simply ship it to MacAmerica. MacAmerica performs the repair or replacement as needed— under AppleCare or insurance. MacAmerica also processes your insurance claim freeing you from additional paperwork. Repaired computers are then shipped back to you. |

What is Covered
Replacement Cost Coverage
Accidental insurance policy covers loss from theft, vandalism, fire, flood, natural disasters, power surge (from lightning strikes) and accidental damage. Accidental damage includes drops, spills, cracked screens and liquid damage. Shipping to and from MacAmerica is also covered. Ask for details .
Items Covered
Each policy covers one laptop or desktop computer along with peripherals and software. Software claim is limited to $1,000 per loss. |
